Kenneth Charles Bales

Kenneth Charles Bales, son of George and
Robina Bales, born November 28, 1927 passed away on Easter Sunday, April 8th,
2012. He was in the care of Didsbury
Hospital and comfort of his devoted family.
Ken leaves behind his son Leonard Bales of Buckley, Washington; daughters Lou Jane of Prince George, B.C., and Sheri of
Didsbury, AB. Also remaining are 8
grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren; brothers George (Shirley), Douglas
(Betty), James, Robert (Linda); and sisters Kathleen (Gordon), Edna (Jack) and
Mary. He was predeceased by his parents,
eldest daughter Sue Ann, sister Berdina and her husband Lorne Elliott and
nephew Dougie Bales. Kenneth worked his
parents farm as a youth. He worked on
the farm of his uncle Malthe Aaskou in Madden, AB for several years as well as
other farming adventures. Ken was then
employed by the County of Mountain View followed by John Deere Agro Equipment
in Calgary. He retired in 1992 to his
home in Crossfield. Here he most enjoyed
gardening and the company of his cat, Shadow.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Crossfield Baptist Church on Monday,
April 16, 2012 at 1:00 pm. In lieu of
flowers, donations in memory of Kenneth may be made to The Canadian Breast
Cancer Foundation, 430, 1324 – 17th Ave. SW, Calgary, AB T2T 5S8 or Tails to Tell Animal Rescue
