Mary Ellen Cruikshank longtime resident of the Hanna area passed away at Hanna Hospital on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at the age of 77 years. Mary is lovingly remembered by her family, husband Bob of 57 years, 2 daughters: Dalyce Cruikshank (Ann Sims), Gerry-Ellen (Richard) Simons and 3 grandchildren: Derek (Jaime) Greenslade, Dustin (Willie) Greenslade, Mitchell Simons, and 2 great grandchildren: Aryanna Greenslade, Ryan Greenslade. Mary is also remembered by her siblings Eileen (Rod) Standing, Frank (Betty) Andrus, Carol (Lyall) Curry, Fay (Ken) Calvert, Linda Hansen, Stanley (Debbie) Andrus, Stella Andrus (Gilligan). Predeceased by her 3 brothers Walt Andrus, Chuck Andrus, Doan Andrus. Mary will be remembered for being a loving wife, amazing mom, awesome grandma, and great grandmother, as well as, a caring teacher and personal care aide. A Memorial Mass was held at St. George’s Parish Hanna on Thursday, June 14, 2012 at 11 am.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to MS Society Calgary, 150 – 110 Quarry Park Blvd SE, Calgary, AB, T2C 3G3. Cremation Services were entrusted to Calgary Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Services.
