With sadness we announce the passing of Doreen
Elizabeth Grant of Calgary on Thursday, November 8, 2012 at the age of 76
years. She is survived by her loving husband Darryl; sons, Greg (Cheryl) Grant
of Spruce Grove, AB and Darren (Mary Anne) Grant of Calgary; son-in-law, Wayne
Carr of Calgary; six grandchildren, Chad, Amber, Brett and Candice Grant and
Caitlin and James Carr; siblings Kay (Gary) Beattie of Calgary, Clara (Gordon)
Mayer of Lethbridge, AB, Roy Higgins of
Regina, SK and Jim Higgins (Faith Reiner) of British Columbia as well as
several nieces, nephews and her loyal canine companion “Willy” and parrott
“Birdy”. Doreen was predeceased by her daughter, Christina Carr; son, Darryl
Jr. Grant and grandson, Christopher Carr. A Memorial Service will be held at Calgary
Crematorium Chapel, 3219 – 4th Street N.W. (within the valley of
Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Monday, November 19,2012 at 1:00 p.m.
Family and friends are invited to #2, 1710 Radisson Place SE, Barnes Room for a
reception to follow.
