Darcey Patricia Levorson

December 7th, 2012

With heavy hearts we announce the sudden, peaceful passing of Darcey Patricia Levorson on December 7th, 2012 at the age of 45 years.

Darcey was born on May 25, 1967 in Calgary, to Myrna and Lorne Levorson. From a charming young girl to a mature confident woman, Darcey cherished those around her and loved to celebrate special occasions. She enjoyed the outdoors and learned to swim, water and snow ski and skate at a young age.

She was an excellent cook and delighted in various kitchen experiments and baking.

Darcey had an artistic streak in her soul, and loved to travel, admiring some of the treasures our world has to offer. She collected memories and shared them generously. Her special place was Kalamalka Lake where she would spend summer vacations and felt truly at peace.

Darcey brought joy to her close friends and family in her own unique way. Through humor and laughter, or thoughtful discussion, she was always there to support others. She loved nature and animals, and clearly had a soft spot in her heart for orange cats.

Darcey will be forever remembered by her parents Lorne and Myrna of Calgary; brothers Mark and Greg (Alison); nieces Emma and Meredith; nephew Matthew and boyfriend Stephen. A considerable group of Uncles, Aunts, cousins, extended family and friends across Canada will truly miss her.

Please direct donations to the Calgary Humane Society (S.P.C.A.) 4455 – 110 Ave. SE, Calgary, AB, T2C 2T7.

A Celebration of Darcey's Life will be held at the Varsity Community Hall, 4303 Varsity Drive N.W. on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at 2:00pm.

My deepest sorrow and sympathy to Myrna and Lorne, and sons Mark, Greg and families on the untimely death of their dear daughter and sister, Darcey. Darcey was a life-long lover of animals, and her favourite 'Shangri la' was at Kalamalka Lake. Her quiet, shy demeanor and dimpled smile will be fondly remembered. With love, Aunt Ingrid

Dear Myrna and family! I was truly saddened and shocked to read the obituary today for Darcy. I remember her as a very happy and outgoing teenager who was such a very nice person. She use to babysit my children and I always felt confident that my children were in good hands when she was with them. I send my deepest sympathies to you and can't express how sorry I am to hear this sad news. Thinking of you with love, Ev McTavish
