Marie Lillian Peters

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Marie Peters, (nee Wimmer) of Cochrane, AB. Although at the age of 94, she has lived a long and happy life, she will be much missed by her family and friends. She was predeceased by her husbands’ Lloyd Crowley and Don Peters; son Wayne; daughter Marlene; granddaughter Adele; brothers George, Phil, Louie and Willie; and sisters Hattie Edwards and Pauline Giroux. She is survived by sons Floyd (Hilary) Crowley and Marvin (Marguerite) Crowley; daughter Sharon (Keith) Corey; stepsons Don (Sandy) Peters and Wayne (Kathy) Peters; stepdaughter Cheryl (Doug) Folk; brother Robert (Betty) Wimmer; sister May (Bob) Clooten; sisters-in-law Mary (George), Marg (Phil), Elsie (Louie) and Zena (Willie); many grandchildren, great and great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. The family wishes to thank the staff at Big Hill Lodge and Bethany Care Center in Cochrane for the care and compassion shown to Marie during her last years. A Funeral Service will be held at the Bearspaw Lifestyle Center, 253220 Bearspaw Road, Calgary, AB on December 11, 2012 at 10:30 am.
