tenacity for life and an entrepreneurial spirit that enabled him to be an
amazing husband, dad, papa and friend.

logging camp in Ontario. He spent some time in Thompson, Manitoba, before
finally coming to Rolling Hills, Alberta, where he met “the love of his life,”
Carol Wallace. They were married on Oct. 14, 1978, and eventually settled into
quiet rural life in Hussar, Alberta, with their four children. His oldest Mary Ann, her husband Scott
Oxtoby, and their kids Jayden, Jack, and Vanessa; Christopher, his wife Liz,
and their daughter Evah; Nicole and her fiancé Tobias; and their youngest son
Matthew.
Surrounded by his loving family, Yves passed peacefully on the early
morning of Jan. 16, 2012. A Funeral Service Mass will be held at St.
Anthony’s Church in Drumheller at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 27, 2012. After a
private interment at Hussar Cemetery, there will be a celebration of Yves life
at the Hussar Community Hall beginning at 1:30 p.m.
