He will be lovingly remembered by his brother Larry (Brigitte); niece Michelle; nephew Kristen; sister Donna (Doug Achorn); “sister” aunt Ruby Panser; cousin Ross Panser as well as his many relatives, friends and church family. Family and friends were very important to Ott and he made a point of keeping in touch with all of them. His greatest talent was spotting someone from Saskatchewan no matter where he went. The family would like to thank the staff at the Sarcee Hospice for their care this past month, along with Dr. Grant, Donna, June Johnson, Vivian, Angel and Jessie and his church family. If desired, donations in Ott’s memory may be made to the Grace Lutheran Church or a charity of ones choice. A Memorial Service to Celebrate Ott’s Life will be held on Thursday, May 30, 2013 at 11:00 am at Grace Lutheran Church, 3610 Sarcee Road SW.

Messages:

A family emergency did not permit me to attend Ott's service at Grace Lutheran this morning. Ott was a member of Lutheran Church of the Cross for several years during the time I was Pastor there. (His Aunt Evelyn Bush and her husband Fred were also there.) I always enjoyed my relationship with Ott. He had a positive and joyous attitude expressed in all of his relationships and through interest in his community. After he moved I missed his friendship, however,it was always a joy to "bump into him" on the odd occasion. His life enhanced my life, and I am sure it brightened the life of all with whom he came in contact.

We send our heartfelt condolences to the family,(Ruby Panser)for the passing of a good friend. We will miss Ott he was a special man that we liked so much and we will miss him. Verna & Cliff Castiglione

I only came to know Ott over the last 8 months but he is one of those people who you just come to love quickly. His humbleness, vulnerability, readiness to always help wherever he could, his quiet faith and quick smile were just a few of the reasons so many were drawn to him and why so many will miss him. He touched so many people's hearts. What a beautiful legacy to leave by a wonderful man.
