Remembering you Mel... A decent and caring man, one of the good ones. My sincere condolences to his immediate and extended family. Much love James
Annette, I have thought about you and Mel many times over the years since you left Mayerthorpe. I am so sorry to hear about this loss which must leave you with such a hole in your heart. Take time to grieve and take time to rejoice the life that was Mel. Anyone who had Mel touch their life was blessed! Take care of yourself.
Mel and I attended University of Alberta together (Geology). He was a great friend and a real gentleman. I have thought about him often over the years and will miss him. My sympathies to Annette and the entire Family.
Please accept my heartfelt condolences Annette. I worked with Mel at C&G Labs for several years. We had many good times. I will always remember his smile and infectious laugh.
Very sorry to hear of Mel's death... it was far too soon, he was a good man and a great friend. I will not be able to make the funeral but want you to know I am thinking of you and Mel... I have sent flowers to the Church and will make a donation in Mel's name. I am presently on a trip and will be returning home tomorrow... I have forwarded Mel's Obituary to the friends we know together and also posted it on Facebook so others can pass it on... If there is any thing else I can do to ease your loss please let me know... Annette, I left the service feeling sad but uplifted at the same time (it was a very touching celebration of a life that was too short by our human standards) I will miss listening to Mel's music and stopping my work to ask him "which band played this song?" or "Who is singing that - is that the original?" It was like musical memory lane - he had very good taste in music! I will miss visiting with Mel when we come to clean in the new year. We are here for you whenever you need us, hun.
