Mickey passed away on with her family by her side. She will be lovingly remembered by her children; Bob (Karen), Wendy (Harley), Elizabeth (David); son-in-law, Roger; brother-in-law, Vic (Dorrie); seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Bill Field; brother, Robert McCrindle; sister-in-law, Irene; brother-in-law, Art; daughter, Barbara and grand-daughter, Lindsey. Mickey fueled planes for the Air Force at the Dewinton airfield and that’s where she met Bill. They were married April 3,1943. She was employed by the CBE for 16yrs. Mom & dad built a home at Chestermere Lake, returning to Calgary in 2007. Many thanks to “Dr. Ted Jablonski & the staff at Bow View Manor”,( Diefenbaker) who looked after mom with great compassion and care. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Chapelhow Branch #284 , 606-38 Ave. N.E. Calgary on Friday, October 17, 2014 at 1:30 pm. Flowers are gratefully declined. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mickey’s memory to Calgary Poppy Fund,#1,4539-6 Street NE, Calgary, AB, T2E 3Z6 or Calgary Meals on Wheels, 5759-80 Avenue SE, Calgary, AB, T2C 4S6.
