GWYNNE, Paul
1958 – 2014

Paul went to be with the Lord unexpectedly after a lengthy illness with cancer on Thursday, October 16, 2014 at the Foothills Hospital in Calgary, AB at the age of 56 years. Paul will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 19 years, Marcy; his twin boys, Alex and Max, age 5; brother, Michael; sister, Cathy (Randy) Beynon and their children, Valerie and Dale Beynon; nephew, Jacob Andersen as well as cousins and friends. Paul was predeceased by his parents, Alexander and Isabel Gwynne. A Celebration of Life will be held at Northminster United Church, 3311 Centre Street NW, Calgary, AB on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Paul’s memory to the Tom Baker Cancer Centre, c/o Alberta Cancer Foundation, 1331 – 29 Street NW, Calgary, AB, T2N 4N2.  A special thanks to Dr Walter Hader, Dr Anton Bergh, Dr Robert Nordal, Dr Jacob Easaw and Dr Rob Lafreniere as well as all staff and nurses.

We send our sympathies to you Marcy and to your young boys. It has been many years since we all lived in Dryden, but we remember his gentle nature and are saddened by his passing. Thinking of you and remembering how you both loved the outdoors. Take comfort in your many memories and keep those alive for your family.

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Paul's passing. I thought of him often and with great affection. I just attended a 30th Anniversary Toastmasters Meeting on the weekend in Dryden and Paul's name came up as he was a founding member of Toastmasters in Ignace, Ontario. He was a kind and gentle soul with a great sense of humour. My sincere condolences to Marcy and her family.
