It is with heavy hearts that we announce that Gary Sr. passed away peacefully Saturday, October 4, 2014 at the age of 62 years, surrounded by family and close friends at Peter Lougheed Hospital after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Gary was born and raised in Corner Brook, Newfoundland and moved to Calgary in 1980. He was a talented musician that played both guitar and drums, he was also an avid outdoorsmen and hunter. Gary was a steel worker by profession and took great pride in his work and craftsmanship. Gary is lovingly remember by two sons, Mark(Leanne), Gary(Teri); grandsons, Zak and Joshua; his sisters Rosemary, Catherine(Randy), Elizabeth(John), Brenda(Dave) and Thomasine(Art), as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his mother and father, Catherine and Tom Hennessey as well as his brother, Harold.  Gary will be greatly missed by all of his family, friends and closest buddies. To honor Gary’s wishes there will be no service.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation may be made in Gary’s memory to a Cancer Charity of their choice.
