Ronald (Ron) James Humphrey, beloved husband of Leona (Bengtson) of Airdrie, passed away on Friday, September 12, 2014 at the age of 75 years surrounded by his immediate family. Ron was born in Eastend, SK on October 18, 1938, the eldest son of Jim and Pearl Humphrey. Ron married Leona on September 8, 1961 and celebrated 53 years together. After leaving Eastend, Ron worked road construction before becoming a member of the Calgary Fire Department where he served until his retirement. He will be lovingly remembered by his daughters, Cheryl Humphrey and Lori Humphrey Clements (Ryan); his grandchildren, who were his pride and joy, Corbin, Bryce, Grayson, Lucas and Isabelle; his siblings, Sharon (Bob) and Ken (Beth); as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at Airdrie United Church, 216 – 1st Avenue NE, Airdrie, AB on Thursday, September 18, 2014 at 11:00 am.
