Len loved his free unfettered life. He was a merchant seaman, hospitality manager of nightclubs and restaurants, hotel owner and entrepreneur. He lived in Vancouver, Williams Lake, Cranbrook and Calgary. Len enjoyed helping his many friends. He loved his dogs, Rosie and Brody, fishing, boating, sailing and camping. Len never married but will be sadly missed by his dear friend, Faye Wilson and her children, Jessica and Alvin. He is also survived by his sister, Sonia Nevalainen (Arvo) of Bella Coola, BC and many nieces and nephews. Len was predeceased by his mother, Riza Jacobson in 1963; his father, Edward Jacobson in 1989; and his brother, Edward Osten Jacobson in 2010. A Celebration of Len’s Life and a barbecue will be held at Chateau Estates Community Centre, 1101 – 84 Street NE, Calgary on June 20, 2014 at 2:00 pm.
