Millie Knipschild

February 25th, 2014

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Millie Knipschild, born November 26, 1927 in Adorf, Germany. Millie died peacefully in her sleep, surrounded by her loving family, in Calgary on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at the age of 86 years. She was predeceased by her husband, Otto Knipschild; her sister, Elfrieda Cooke and her brother, Siegfried Emde. She leaves behind her two devoted sons, Ralph Knipschild (wife Monica Scheible and their daughter Camille) of Airdire and Ronald Knipschild (daughter Adele Brunnhofer and her mother Monika) of Calgary. She will be lovingly remembered by her family; including sister, Edith Sigh (husband Svend); nephew, Vernon Cooke (wife Eileen and son Matthew); niece, Doris Donegan-Taylor (husband William) and her many, many friends. As per her wishes there will be no Funeral or Celebration of Life, rather, Millie (a devout Lutheran) requested a prayer to be said for her. The family gratefully appreciates your thoughts, prayers and memories. Ruhe in Frieden.
