It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of my treasured mom, Ruby Lumsden, on Monday, September 29, 2014 at the age of 72 years. She left us encircled by family and friends. Breast cancer took her 6 months after diagnosis. I know she is now reunited with her love, my dad, Derrick. Ruby is survived by her daughter, Julie Leesman (Kelly Pratte); son, David (Tami) Lumsden; grandchildren, Narissa, Jadene, Toria, Christopher, Zoe and Julian. She was Nana to many more...
In June, she was in England with her only brother John (Catherine) Boynton, their family and her cousins. She was very proud of her British heritage but made Canada her home since 1973. Mom was loved by so many people for her laughter, stories, love of animals and generosity. Our world is a little quieter now, as her special light went out. I love you always and forever Mom and Dad. In lieu of flowers, please pick a charity of your choice as Ruby supported many.

My deepest condolences to you all. Ruby has always had a special place in my heart and always will. In her last days she was surrounded by those who loved her. It was so special to me to be part of that.
Jadene, our thoughts and prayers are with you and you family. She sounded like a wonderful woman, wish I had of met her.
