Robert "Bob" Laurence Palmer

July 24th, 2014

Bob passed away peacefully on Thursday July 24, 2014 in his home in Carstairs at the age of 74 years. Bob was born and raised in Calgary in Inglewood. He worked in Calgary as a draftsman for the City of Calgary. He left the city and moved to Delacour where he raised Saler Cattle and was the president of the Delacour community where he organized fundraising to build the Delacour community hall. Bob moved to Carstairs and continued to raise Saler Cattle. Bob had many interests, he played hockey, raised cattle, enjoyed gardening, fishing and curling. Most importantly he was an amazing father and grandpa. Bob is survived by his daughter, Beverly (Elliott) Imeson; son, Robert Palmer (Karen Daigle); grandchildren, Laurelle and Kent Imeson, Reagan and Mikayla Palmer. A Celebration of Life will be held at Bob’s property on Sunday, July 27, 2014 at 1:00 pm. We encourage everyone to share their fondest memories of Bob.

Messages:

For Bev and her family - I am so very sorry to hear about the passing of your Dad Bev... I know how close you were to him. Find peace in knowing you were a wonderful daughter to him who always spent quality, wonderful time with him. This is such a hard thing in life - loss can be unbearable. Sending you love and strength at this time. Your friend, Darcie

We were so sorry to hear of Bob's passing. He was a great guy with a great sense of humour like all the Palmer boys. He loved to laugh and made everyone around him laugh too. He could tell a really good joke. Our sincere sympathy to all the family. He will be missed. Don and Sandra

So sorry to hear of Bob's passing. I will always remember his smiles and his kindness. I truly enjoyed working with him when we showed Salers cattle. Bob was a very giving man who was proud of his family. He will be missed.

Hi Elliott,Bev and family. From my family to yours, we are so sorry for your loss. Our prayers and thought are with you. Les Flemmer and family

Bob was the best friend that anyone could wish for.

It is with sorrow that we heard of Bob's passing. He was an individual that we were proud to call a good friend. Unfortunately we will not be able to attend the celebration of Bob's life as we leave for two weeks as of today. May you be comforted in knowing that he was well thought of by many and will be dearly missed. He fought a good struggle but is now at peace with God. God is watching over all of you during this difficult time.
