Garry and family.....we extend our sincere condolences on the passing of your dear wife Cathy. We were shocked to see the write up this morning in the paper and could not believe what we saw. Please know that you are on our minds and in our hearts at this sorrowful time. Hoping to see you again soon on our many visits to Airdrie...take care..Pauline and Dale Allsop and family (Taber)
On behalf of Cornerstone Christian School (Koinonia) please accept our sincere condolences on the loss of your wife, mother, grandmother. We will hold your family in prayer as you mourn your loss. Sandy Sergeant, Principal.
Cathy and I worked together for twenty years at Airdrie Koinonia Christian School. No one was more deeply committed to the school, the staff, and the children than Cathy. She was a pillar of strength and a constant source of wisdom. Many times she would come into my office and ask, "Are you sure we should do this?" I always listened because I knew she had a deep sense of what was both morally right and academically excellent. She helped set the standards for the school. She was also very attuned to the needs and concerns of staff, students, and parents. Often she would slip into my office to ask, "Were you aware that...?" And, I usually wasn't... She helped me to be a better principal and a better person. She was, in many ways, a "den mother" to all of us at AKCS. She was a great friend. We will miss her.
Garry, I want to give you my sincere condolences on your loss. Cathy was a great lady! She touched many lives and was a positive influence to many. I didn't know her very long but I always enjoyed her company. She always took time to visit when we were together. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time.
