We lost a beautiful, tenacious and loving lady today. Ida Marie Saurette passed away on Sunday, November 23, 2014 at the age of 92 years. Ida lived in Airdrie since 1973. She was a valued member of St. Paul’s and the Catholic Women’s League. She had lived and been treasured at Bethany Airdrie since 2001. Ida was born in St. Boniface, Manitoba on February 22, 1922. She was the widow of Jacques (d.1989) and was married for over forty years. She is survived by her four sisters, Margaret, Eva, Marie and Cecile; her brother, Jean (Johnny); her four children, Bob (Sharon), Albert (Nancy), Ray (Eve) and Patti (Daryll); seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren, Ryan (Ashley) and Cruz, Michael, Erica (Graydon) and Nathaniel, Colin (Anna) and Maya, Jacob and Nicholas; and many nieces and nephews. We would like to thank the Bethany Care Staff for their exceptional care for Ida for the past thirteen years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ida’s memory to the Bethany Care Airdrie Handibus, 1736 – 1 Avenue NW, Airdrie, AB, T4B 2C4. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Paul’s Catholic Church,1305 Main Street S., Airdrie, AB on Thursday, November 27, 2014 at 11:00 am.
