SWAYZE, Margaret (Janny) May

It is with great sadness the family of Janny Swayze announces her passing on Friday, September 5, 2014 at the Beverly Care Centre, Lake Midnapore. Margaret (Janny) May Craven was born on July 13, 1926 to parents, Jean and Russell Craven near Pierson, Manitoba.

Her passion was her family. She enjoyed doing crafts, knitting, sewing and baking. Janny entered and won numerous events for her knitting and baking at the Calgary Stampede and the Olds Fair.

Janny is survived by her children, Donald (Pat), Linda (Eric Gall) and Les (Lorraine); her grandchildren, Tammy, Kim, Martin (Danielle), Amanda (Mark), Devon (Brad);  her great grandchildren Tyana, Jasmin, Quentin, Eli, Sydney, Faira, Mikaela, Geric, Layne, Julea, Jocelyn, Gavin.

Janny will be remembered by her sisters, Orlean Johnson, Florence Murray; sisters-in-law, Margaret Craven, Verla Stevenson, Mae Swayze, Gay Steves (Gary); brothers-in-law, Ivan Vickers and Robert Swayze (Gilda); as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Janny was predeceased by her parents; her beloved husband, Henry George Swayze (Harry); grandson, Harry Lesley Swayze, Alfred Craven (Barbara) brother and sister in law, Clifford Craven brother, Calvin Craven (Helen) brother and sister in law, Gilbert Craven (Olive) brother and sister in law, Lois Robinson (Tom) sister and brother in law, Ellen Vickers sister, Norman Murray brother in law, George Johnson brother in law,  Bob Stevenson brother in law, Della Fairburn sister in law, Orvil Swayze brother in law.

The family would like to thank the Beverly Care Centre Lake Midnapore and the Evergreen unit for the care of their Mother. In lieu of flowers donations maybe sent to the Calgary Children’s Hospital, 2888 Shaganappi Trail NW, Calgary, AB, T3B 6A8 or a charity of one’s choice. Following Janny’s wishes, there will be a Private Family Inurnment.  A Celebration of Janny’s Life will be at a later time.
