Susan Jeanne Tidd, 63 of Calgary passed away on February 18th, 2014, surrounded by her family.
Susan was born October 27, 1950, raised in Toronto, Ontario and relocated to Calgary in 1984. After an extended courtship, Susan married David Tidd and would enjoy 28 happy years by his side.
Susan is best remembered for her love for her family, soft voice and affectionate demeanor. Susan led an active life and loved to travel, with David she has visited 76 different countries and created many fond memories. Susan also enjoyed gardening, crossword and Sudoku puzzles and loved to read.
Susan is survived by her loving husband David, her three daughters; Melissa Jackson, Kelly Jackson and Christy Thorsten; her four step sons Peter, Michael, Douglas and Alexander; as well as five grandchildren: Twins Matthew and James, Ava, Austin and Isabelle.
Susan’s family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to Susan’s friend and former employer of 18+ years, Dr. Robin Dargie, who provided much needed friendship, guidance and support right through her final days. They would also like to thank Susan's close friends and the residents of Sienna Park Green for their love and support. They are eternally grateful to the caring staff of the South Calgary Health Campus and the Chinook Interfaith Hospice who helped Susan through her brief but difficult illness.
As per Susan’s wishes she will be cremated and there will be no public service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Susan’s memory to Chinook Interfaith Hospice, 1261 Glenmore Trail SW, Calgary, AB, T2V 4Y8.
