BOYLE, Margaret
Margaret Victoria Boyle (Wagg), much loved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away peacefully in Airdrie, AB on Tuesday, December 1, 2015. She was born on May 24, 1920, in Oregon, Wisconsin and spent her formative years in Regina, SK. She received a Bachelor’s Degree in Home Economics from the University of Sask. She worked as a Dietician and taught Home Economics for a short while. Most of her life was spent as a homemaker and mother. She was active in the United Church and was a long-time member of the Choir and the UCW. Margaret enjoyed weaving and was a member of Taber’s Arts and Crafts Society.
Margaret is lovingly remembered by four children, David (Gretchen) Boyle, Heather (Phil) Holland, Sheila (Bob) Lord and Don (Sydney) Boyle; ten grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, N. Stuart Boyle in 2007.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Bethany Care Centre in Airdrie where she lived for the last 5 years. She was a loved member of that community. A Memorial Service will be held in Taber in the spring of 2016.Messages:
Our sincere condolences to the Boyle family. Marg and Stu were friendly and hospitable to us at every turn. When Jane visited Taber in 1995 (a long road trip from Toronto with two teenagers) Stu insisted on washing our vehicle! We will miss the occasional visits with Marg at Bethany Care Centre when in Airdrie. We are sorry for your loss and ours.
We lived in Taber for 23 years, during which time our families were involved in many of the same activities at Knox United and in community events. We have pleasant memories of our friendship with Marg (and of course, Stu), and offer our sincere condolences.
For many years Marg and Stu were the best of neighbors to the Gibb family who lived across the street from their Taber home. Lulah, who passed away this past summer, was able to stay in her own home alone because of the Boyle's loving watch-care until Stu passed away. We will always have a special place in our hearts for Marg and Stu and extend to the family our sincerest condolences. We would very much like to be advised of date of the springtime Memorial Service when it is set..
To the Boyle Family, We were so sorry to hear of the passing of our dear friend Marg. We have such fond memories of both Marg and Stu and do miss them. Our thoughts and prayers are with you as a family during this difficult time. Regards, Rob and Marilynn
My condolences to the Boyle family. My question is that I might be related to your family because my Dad & Mom where married by my Dad's uncle Frank Wagg in Regina in 1927. I also was bapitised when I was three weeks old by him with water from the River Jorden. I didn't know that much about this part of my ancestry. I was reading the paper & the name Wagg got my eye so I thought I would just contact someone hopefully with some information, thanks Marlyn Blakeman
