Lenard passed away in Calgary at the Foothills Hospital on Sunday, June 7, 2015 at the age of 85 years. Lenard is lovingly remembered by his two sisters, Helen Malchow and Christina Malchow; sister-in-law, Marjorie Rose; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and his faithful, walking and car riding canine companion, Oscar. Lenard was predeceased by his parents, William and Helen; brother, George; and two brothers-in-law, Tedford and Bill Malchow.
Lenard enjoyed driving his car, sports, walking and fishing among other things. He spent his working years in Southern Alberta.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lenard’s memory to the Porcupine Hills Lodge, PO Box 790, Claresholm, AB, T0L 0T0, where he made his home for 17 years, or to a charity of your choice.
Grateful thanks to all Lodge staff and residents for concern and care throughout the years. Thanks to the many caring personnel on Unit #36 at the Foothills Hospital. In keeping with Lenard’s wishes, there will be no service. Cremation has taken place.
