Doreen passed away at Southwood Hospice at the age of 71 years. She was a very loving, caring mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
Doreen is survived by her children; son, Darcy; daughter, Brenda (Vernon) Mooers; son, Bill; daughter, Barbara; and son, Jim Jr.; her grandchildren, Jodie, Samantha, Brandon, Turner, Taryn, Anthony, Julia, Jennifer and Cheyenne; sister, Sharon (Gerard) Coupal of Calgary; brother, Elroy (Lenora) Horst of Medicine Hat; many nieces and nephews; and special friend, Siegrun (John) Meszaros of Tofino. Doreen was predeceased by her husband, George James (Jim); sister, Joyce Guilbault; parents, Nick and Betty Popascul; and nephews, John Coupal, Marcel Guilbault and Peter Guilbault. Doreen will be missed by so many family and friends. Doreen's family was her life and spending time with them was her greatest treasure. She also enjoyed traveling and was an avid searcher of antiques and collectibles.
She was a long time member of the First Canadian Collectors Club and enjoyed participating in their many shows. Doreen also worked at the Foothills Hospital information desk for a number of years. Her family would like to thank the caregivers at Southwood Hospice. A Private Remembrance gathering of Doreen's family in Calgary will be held.
