Shirley Ann Yee
August 5th, 2015
YEE, Shirley
It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Shirley Ann Yee on Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre in Calgary, AB. Shirley was courageous and determined over her 7 year battle which provided wonderful extra years with her family and many lasting memories. Shirley was born June 19, 1947 in Brandon, Manitoba.
Shirley is survived by her husband and constant companion, Wee Yee; her loving children, daughter, Velvet Beaumont and her partner, Shelley; son, Derek Coffyne and his wife Yoshika; and Shirley’s instant smile ignitor’s, grandchildren, Roy, Reanno and Raela. She is predeceased by her mother, Mary Beaumont in September of 2014; and father, Roy Beaumont in October of 1997.
Her determination and hard work ethic was exhibited in working a full time day job and going to school at night to graduate with her CMA designation. Her kind heart, honesty, morals and sense of caring traits live on in her children and grandchildren. Her fun loving, social graces and strong fashion and decorating sense endured her to family and the many friends she amassed over the years, ranging from fellow travelers, the “Bridge Girls” to her Calgary Stampede family.
Our family wishes to thank the wonderful Doctors, nurses and staff at the Tom Baker for their professionalism, caring and kindness over the years and especially for the dignity provided to Shirley and our family at the end.
Please consider making a donation in Shirley’s name to the Tom Baker Cancer Centre so they may continue to provide the research and development to find a cure for this horrible disease. Tom Baker Cancer Center, 1331 – 29 Street NW, Calgary, AB, T2N 4N2.
Not “Goodbye” but “Until We Meet Again”, Shirley.

We are saddened to hear of Shirley's passing. Meagan & Owen still remember and mention how they enjoyed their "job" of walking the dog and watering the flower garden when Wee & Shirley were away. We weren't neighbors for very long (on Shannon Close), but Shirley's wonderful personality, friendly and welcoming manner & love for life will never be forgotten....the world has lost a truly wonderful lady. Our deepest condolences to Wee and all of Shirley's family....God Bless you all.
So sorry to hear of Shirley's passing. I've got many fond memories of Shirley... her smile, laughter, many visits back at the CS Rodeo Committee trailer. Also the many times seeing Shirley and Wee together - so happy. R.I.P. Shirley. God Bless to Wee, the family and her friends.
Wee, our thoughts and prayers go out to your family. Thinking of you. Barry and Tracey McGrath
