JOHNSON, Dorothy Jean
May 25, 1931 to November 17, 2016

Dorothy Jean Johnson of Calgary, Alberta passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at the age of 85. Dorothy was born on May 25, 1931 in Forestburg, Alberta and grew up on the Roth family farm. It was in Forestburg that she met Norman Johnson and they married on October 16, 1957.  After spending a couple years in Forestburg, they moved to Calgary and started their family with the birth of their only son, Terry. They remained in Calgary until their retirement and moved to Medicine Hat in 1993. After Norman's passing, Dorothy moved back to Calgary in 2012 to be near her son Terry.

For many years Dorothy spent her weekends enjoying camping trips, which included the daily catch of fish for dinner. In the later years in Medicine Hat, she enjoyed her outings with Norman to the local legion for a drink & socializing with friends. The past few years back in Calgary, she enjoyed her family time, with dinners & regular outings. She also enjoyed almost daily trips for coffee & socializing with her sister, Lila & the girls. We will miss that wonderful smile & sense of humor.

Dorothy will be loving remembered by her son, Terry (Janice) Johnson; her sister, Lila Campbell and numerous nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Norman; her mother and father, Rosa & Samuel Roth; her sisters, Anita and Velma; and her brother, Reinhart.
