Madeline Knott passed away at the George Boyack Long term care facility on Sunday, October 9, 2016 at the age of 88 years. Madeline was born in Montreal on January 29,1928 and was raised by her parents, Esther and Archie Muncaster and three other siblings. Madeline met Joe on a summer picnic in Rawdon, Que. And raised their family in Pierrefonds, Montreal. Madeline loved to sing and dance and play the piano. She will always be remembered for her joyful nature and there will always be a special place in our hearts for her. Madeline is lovingly remembered by three sons and two daughters-in-law, Kevin Joseph Knott and Jean Eileen Sevrens of Calgary, AB, Barry James Knott of London, ON, and Gordon Michael Knott and Dianne Knott of Anaheim, California; sister-in-law, Patricia Muncaster; 2 step grandchildren; 5 step great grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Knott in 1989; sister, Marion Patterson; brother-in-law, Pat Patterson; and her two brothers, Douglas Muncaster of Montreal and Joe Muncaster of Montreal; and sister-in-law, Rita Muncaster.
A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Bonaventure Church, 1600 Acadia Drive SE, Calgary, AB on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. Immediately following the Mass, a gathering to remember Madeline will be held at the Horizon Village Clubhouse, #3 Deer Ridge Close SE, Calgary, AB. Refreshments will be served. Many thanks to the care givers at George Boyack Carewest Center in Bridgeland. Also a special thank-you to the care givers at Alberta Health Services.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Madeline’s memory may be made to the Heart & Stoke Foundation Of AB and NWT, 1825 Park Road SE, Calgary, AB, T2G-3Y6.
