Hi Ronnie, I remember Gary as my doubles partner and someone with a great sense of humour. I just heard of his passing today. We are thinking of you. Dwayne and Glennys Vevang

We were shocked to hear of Garry's passing. We knew Garry primarily through working with and for him for many years. His style made the job easier and he served as a role model for how to deal with other people in professional and personal life. We know that the grief being felt in his passing will be offset by the many good memories he left behind.

Dear Ronnie, Karen & Colleen - As you share the stories and the memories of how he lived his life and how very much he meant, may you find comfort and, throughout this difficult time, may you also know the deep sympathy and concern that is felt for each one of you. We are so sorry to hear about your Gary and dad ... know that we are thinking of you. Cousin Jean, Brian and Jacqueline

Gary was a great man and friend. I met Gary on the squash courts at the U of C when I was just learning the game. I will always remember his competitive spirit and sportsmanship. I still hear him in my head when I play today and things get tight as a match progresses. "The party is over" he would say with a smile, as he increased his focus and intensity to make a push for the win. He was very generous with his time and knowledge and very influential in my progression with the game. More importantly, he was a great friend and always a lot of fun to be around. He taught me many life lessons that continue to serve me well everyday. Gary will be dearly missed and remembered by many. I am thankful for having the opportunity and pleasure of knowing Gary. Sincerely, Ken Cross Squash Professional

My thoughts are with the Marshall family in this time of Gary's passing. I first met Gary at the Foothills Court House playing racquet ball in the 80s. Gary always had a smile and a quip, even for us lowly B players. We would bump into each other periodically at the Highwood golf course and Gary would spend time catching up on life with me. I will miss Gary.

Ronnie and Family Our Deepest sympathy.

Working with Gary was too much fun. He made every day at The City, seem like a play day. Just thinking about Gary makes me smile. Rest in peace friend.

My condolences to Veronica and family, I met Gary in the 1980's playing racquetball in Calgary. Then got to play golf with him a few times a year at the Highwood. Gary was a great guy and will be missed.

Please accept our sincere condolences. We were so shocked and saddened to hear of Gary's sudden passing. I will always remember his unique sense of humor and an innate sense of empathy for others. Our thoughts are with you at this difficult time.

We were saddened to hear of Garys' passing. Our Heartfelt Sympathy to All the Family. Judy & Ed Benny

Dear Ronnie We are very sorry to hear of Gary's passing. May you and the girls be filled with all the good memories of years past.

Our entire family feels so fortune to have had Gary in our lives over the last 40 years. His generosity with his time, a strong drive to give back to others, an amazing sense of humour, his humility and respect, and caring for others less fortunate than himself was genuine and uplifting. On behalf of Karen, Brett, Lauren and Jesse we all hope that with time your sorrow will pass and warm memories will abound. With love, and Forever in our thoughts. Keith Hacking
