McKinley Linda Ann (nee MacKenzie)
July 5, 1941 – December 21, 2016
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Linda McKinley announce her passing. Linda had a heart bigger than the ocean and the seven seas combined. She represented kindness, generosity, warmth and love. She welcomed the lonely, the broken spirited and anyone that needed open arms and love on any given day. Words cannot begin to express how much we will miss the light and love of this beautiful soul, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, mother of light and love to all, and our very own Mother Christmas. She brought love and magic, and oodles of gifts and words of love and peace to each and every one of us.
We will move forward in her memory and keep her bright light shining in this world. She is now in the hands of God, with her family, and was given her wings immediately upon arrival. Now, free of pain and suffering, she has her dancing shoes on, and is showing Elvis a few moves. We will miss her deeply.
There will be no Service as per Linda’s request. In Linda’s memory, please take the time, and a piece of your heart, to touch someone in need with love and kindness.
If you so wish, donations may be made in Linda’s memory to the Mustard Seed, 102 – 11 Avenue SE, Calgary, AB, T2G 0X5. She would love this.
We will celebrate her love and light each and every day
Messages:
Grandma, thank you for everything you did for us. You showed unbridled love and compassion to everyone that came into your life. You epitomized kindness and you never judged anyone instead you offered an ear to listen and opens arms to embrace. You will be deeply missed by everyone whose heart you touched. There is a huge hole in our family and nothing will ever fill that. But the memories and love you gave us will live on in its place. Thank you Grandma for everything I love you. Rest easy, free of the pain of this world. Justin
