Philippa Ann Phillips age 78, of Carstairs AB, passed away on Sunday April 10, 2016, at Dulcina Hospice in Calgary after a difficult but short battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia.  Ann was born June 28th, 1937 in New Amsterdam, Berbice, British Guyana. She is lovingly remembered by her husband David, who she married on July 11th, 1959 in the Roman Catholic Church of the Ascension, New Amsterdam, Berbice, British Guyana.  Ann will also be remembered by her, 3 sons Christopher, Geoffrey, and David; daughter-in-laws Donette, Tracy, and Nancy; 8 grandchildren, Jason, Ryan, Hayley, Nicole, Julia, Hannah, Sydney, and Alec; 4 sisters, Kay, Pam, Tessa, and Judy, 2 brothers, Roger and Geoffrey; numerous nieces and nephews.  Ann grew up in New Amsterdam and attended St.Mary’s Ursuline Convent for girls where she developed her deep faith in the lord.  After marrying David they moved to, Jamaica, where they lived for 13 years before moving to Calgary, AB in 1973.  Ann worked for the Bank of Montreal as a teller, for many years in Calgary retiring to Carstairs, AB in 1998.  Ann was an avid golfer playing almost daily in her early retirement; she also enjoyed spending time with her many friends and family, and will be remembered by all as a loving and caring person and someone who always saw the good in others.  

She will be greatly missed by all.  

A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Paul's Catholic Church, Airdrie, AB on Thursday, April 14, 2016 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ann's memory to:
