ROBERTSON, Ryan Vance
Ryan Vance Robertson was born on January 3, 1953 in Calgary, Alberta. He passed away on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 in Calgary, Alberta after a short but courageous battle with cancer. He was an active father and community member, participating in many volunteer activities (including coaching, and writing in the community newspaper for Cremona Minor Hockey). Ryan surveyed for many years, and in later years followed his dream of writing, being published in several different publications. For the last 19 years Ryan resided in Calgary and was an active member of Calgary Association of Self Help, advocating for many social service issues, and assisting countless friends through difficult times.
Ryan is lovingly remembered by his brother, Neil (Colleen) and their children, Chelsea and Courtney; son, Aaron (Alana) and their children, Eli and Cecelia, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Ryan is predeceased by his parents, Leon and Hazel.
Ryan was ever so thankful to his friends and family who visited him over the last few months (he truly loved you all). A Private Family Service will be held at a later date.

Mr Ryan Robertson was the heart of so many of us. He always had a huge hug, kissed my cheek said I Love you etc. He worried more about his friends than he did himself. I Loved him also, and was angry he was ill. He never complained and tried to make everyone who he was around, and went to see him that everything would be okay. I am so grateful to have had Ryan in my life. His inspiration will live in my heart forever. As well as his love for his son, grandchildren n blood family.
