Howard went home to the Lord on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at the age of 53 years. Although his passing was sudden and tragic, he lived his life to the fullest. He loved life, his family and friends. Howard will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Laura Strate; his five children, Jonathon Strate, Christopher Strate, Joshua Strate, Alisa Brown and Cameron Brown; his four grandchildren, Julia, Lei-Lani, Kayla and Kayden; his mother, Linda Strate and his brother, Mike Strate.
Howard had many passions, but the passion closest to his heart was photography. He has left a legacy of images for people to have for generations.
He will be forever missed, but never forgotten.
A Celebration of Howard’s Life will be held at the home of Ann Rust, 281065 Range Road 13, just West of Crossfield on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at 2:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Howard’s memory to the Friends of the Eastern Slopes Association, PO Box 6093, Innisfail, AB, T4G 1S7.
I am extremely sorry for your loss of this big man with a marvelous sense of humour, great talent and so much potential yet unrealised who was taken far too soon an suddenly.
