LAMONT, Dorothy May (nee Benedict)
July 28, 1918 – June 22, 2017
Dorothy Lamont, beloved mother of sons, John (Norma) and Murray; and daughter, Janice, passed away peacefully at the age of 98 years. She will be remembered by family and friends for her kindness, compassion and willingness to help others in need. As well as her children, she is also survived by sister, Agnes Scott of Edmonton; sister-in-law, Sheila Street; grandchildren, Scott and Kyle; great-grandchildren, Micaela and Ruairi; as well as many nephews and nieces. Dorothy was predeceased by her husband, Archie in 1995. Special thanks to Dr. Peter Neary and to all the staff on the third floor West of the George Boyack Nursing Home.
At Dorothy’s request, there will be no funeral. A private Memorial will be held at a date to be determined. In lieu of flowers, kindly make a donation in Dorothy’s memory to a charity of your choice or to Veterans Affairs Canada, P.O. Box 7700, Charlottetown, PE, C1A 8M9 (cheque payable to the Receiver General).
I was very sorry to hear of your loss. Aunt Dorothy was such a nice person and I enjoyed seeing her at the Benedict reunions. My condolences to your family. Leslie
