You left far too soon.
So many lives were impacted by your beautiful smile, your soft voice and huge heart. You only saw the best in everyone you met. Your kind, gentle manner always left us with positive, happy feelings. You taught us all well. Your life was the message to all those who knew you. Good-byes hurt the most because our story was not yet finished. Forever in my heart, your loving wife, Betty.
Missing you terribly will be grandkids, Evie, Danny, Josh and Andy; the kids that you were so proud of, Kari (Jim) and Joe (Vanda); your sisters, Charlotte, Lorna, Donna (David), Judy (Bevin), Debbie, Sandi, Glenna (Frank) and Shannon (Larry); your brothers, Rich (Steph), Randy (Sue) and Terry (Vicki); your many nieces and nephews, especially Kristie (Lee) and Ryan (Becky) and of course, your beautiful mom, Edith.
Big thank you to my work family who always knew what to say. Heartfelt thanks to the Palliative Home Care Team who were so caring and supported us at home. The Agape Hospice whose dedicated staff gave a little piece of themselves to Brian and his mega family in his final days.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Brian’s memory to The Salvation Army Agape Hospice, 1302 – 8 Avenue NW, Calgary, AB, T2N 1B8.
Brian leaves us with, “Be soft – don’t let the world make you hard.”
Messages:
No matter how old or how young you are, there is never enough time we spend with our loved ones. You had such unconditional love for everyone, it didn't matter who, you gave so much. You would open your house your heart to anyone in need, and never asked for anything in return. The world will not be the same with you not here, as you brightened each and every day. May you rest in peace with all the other angels and guide the people left behind as you watch over them until you meet again. Brian you will be greatly missed......
My sincerest condolences. Brian was not only my boss but also my friend. I miss the time I had with him and his kind manner. He was truly a great man.
Our condolences to the family. There are no words to express the sadness we feel in losing Brian. His gentle manner and warm smile will remain forever in our hearts.
There is never enough time, but how wonderful you and Brian had each other for the time you did have ,Betty. I'm so glad you made so many fabulous memories together, and know you will cherish the joy they bring you.
Thinking of the entire Leniczek family today. Brian will be greatly missed by all of you. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of you as you go through this difficult time. For me, it's been a number of years since I've seen Brian but I do remember the good times we all had. Brian always had a huge smile that lit up the room. It's been way too many years since I've seem many of you. Hope everyone is doing well. Please say hi to Mom for me.
So sorry for your loss. We will never forget that big, beautiful smile Brian had. Betty, you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. Xox
I am so sorry for your loss. One of my greatest memories of Brian was during a visit with Jim and Kari. While the rest of us “adults” did our own thing, Brian spent literally hours playing hockey in the basement with Josh and Andy. They all finally emerged tired and sweaty and happy. His love, patience and absolute selflessness while enjoying the presence of his grandkids has always embodied for me the truth of Brian’s character. I feel privileged to have known him and I know that the love he spread around will have a lasting influence on everyone who care for him. Amy
Gentle giant larger than life you will be missed my friend was an honor knowing you and being part of your family. Who’s going to keep me inline now. Brian you will forever be in our hearts Frank and Glenna.
Our sincerest condolences. Brian was a kind, caring man with a wonderful sense of humour. Our boys adored him and so did we. All our love, Jenn, Chris, Oliver and Thomas Slight.
My prayers and thoughts to the family. I'm going to miss that contagious smile he had. As big as a giant but gentle as a lamb. I'm going to miss you around the job sites buddy!
