It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Herbert Pietrowski on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at the age of 63 years. He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Arcy; sons, Joshua, Paul (Roxanne); brothers, Manfred and Rudie as well as numerous nieces and nephews in Germany. He will be missed by his brothers and sisters in Christ from PUSH ‘Pray until something will happen’ who have prayed for him every night. He will also be missed by Gloria and Mylene Calixtro who reside in the Philippines.
Herbert was a Sheet Metal Journeyman and worked for many years in heating and air conditioning. He was an avid outdoorsman and had a love for hiking and fishing. He will be remembered as a kind and gentle man who loved to pray and serve in his local church.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Royal Oak Victory Church, 450 Royal Oak Drive NW, Calgary, AB, on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 11:00 am.
Memorial donations can be made in Herbert's name to the Royal Oak Victory Church. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff and parishioners of Royal Oak Victory Church for their support during this hard time. A special thanks also to Ellen for her special and thoughtful care during the final week of Herbert’s life.
