Messages:
Our condolences for your loss. She had a wicked sense of fun, and an infectious laugh. Saying goodbye is hard, but we hope that the memories of her spirit and love help to ease your sorrow.
I was sorry to hear yesterday when I asked Cameron, how is mom was doing she had passed away. He popped in at the landscape place I work at. I remember as a kid, Shirley, and my Aunt Jess Skog and Mum - Maggie, Shirley called her, would sit around the table and gab and giggle for hours. And Paul and my dad, worked together in the fields for Don Beddoes, you could hear Paul singing away across the field. It is funny what memories stick with us, but every time I see a swather without a cab or , I wash a glass I think of Shirley and Paul Rabel. I was elbow deep in the kitchen sink washing dishes at the farm, and she showed me how to clean those glasses. I remember her laugh and what a kind, warm, generous lady she was. So I was sad to hear she had passed on, but I will won't forget her. She will be there every time I wash a glass! My thoughts to the entire family. Jayne Sandilands

Paul and Shirley Rabel- what a legacy. Your mom was such a wonderful lady. Condolences to all
All the memories of the time spent at the curling rink and T&C make me laugh. I'll celebrate and cherish those times we spent working and enjoying Shirley's great sense of humor and great work ethic which she passed on to her children. I guess that is all part of living a good life teaching, having fun, and living the life to it's fullest, passing on these things to her future generations made it all worthwhile. Bless you Shirley, God just got another angel.
Sending all of the family lots of love, hugs and prayers. Your Mom was a lovely lady and we always enjoyed our visits with her. Keep your memories close to your heart and she will always be with you.
Dennis, Bryan, Garth, Cam & families: ....I was so saddened to learn of your Moms' passing----I know of some of what you struggled with over the last couple of years and how much you all meant to her! Shirley loved being around people, visiting, chatting, telling stories--just enjoying the company of friends,of which there were many. I reminisce over the many hours spent with her, Paul, Jessie and the rest of the curling gang, back in the eighties(doesn't seem that long ago)! so many laughs, jokes and stories, memorable times! Your Mom will be greatly missed by you all and the many lives that she touched. My sincere condolences to all the Rabel family at this sad time. Hugs to you all! Sincerely Marj
