Robert "Bob" Leight

On Sunday, April 1, 2018, Robert “Bob” Leight of Scotch Creek, B.C., formerly of Calgary, Alberta; passed away at home with family members present. Bob was 78 years old.
Bob will be forever remembered by his loving wife of 60 years, Christine. His children, Angela Reece, Patricia (Rene) Chalut, Robert Leight and Linda Evans. His grandchildren, Evan Chalut, Wynne (Joseph) St. Hilaire, Casey Chalut, Kieran (Zoe) Reece. Bob was predeceased by his parents Anne and Edwin Leight.
As a lifelong learner and educator, Bob completed his BSc. in Eugene, Oregon and his MSc. in Lawrence, Kansas. He started his teaching career with Calgary Catholic School District at St. Angela’s School. Bob continued to work for Calgary Catholic School District, in several capacities, until taking a position as Assistant Superintendent of Schools with Fort McMurray Catholic School District. He finished his career as Superintendent of Schools in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta.
A Celebration of Robert’s Life will be held at Canadian Martyrs Roman Catholic Parish, 835 Northmount Drive NW, Calgary, Alberta on Friday, September 28, 2018 at 2:00 pm.
