Joan Ellen Moorman

Joan Ellen Moorman née Staudinger was called into God's arms on Thursday January 4th, 2018 at the age of 71 surrounded by her family after battling cancer. Joan was born in Humbolt, Saskatchewan and grew up in Lake Lenore on the family farm. She attended Selmond School and obtained her certificate in health care as a care aid. Joan spent many years in Saskatchewan before moving to Alberta. Joan's tenderheartedness and bright smile will be lovingly remembered & greatly missed by her sons Terry, Ariel (Shirley), Lorry (Courtney) and Del (Kathy). Also, by her granddaughters Jennifer and Sara and grandson Darien. As well as numerous other family members.

She is predeceased by her devoted parents Raymond and Ellen Staudinger, her sisters Rayleen and Elaine and her son Dane.

Joan enjoyed writing poetry, stories, gardening, her puppies (Bjorn, Meghan, Sasha and Levi) and camping in the mountains with her sons and long time companion Doug. Her greatest achievements were her sons & family, traveling to Alaska and her careers in security and working as a care aid.

Joan was laid to rest at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Lake Lenore on Friday January 26th, 2018. A celebration of life will take place in the summer; details to follow at a later date.
