Richard "Rick" Gerald Mousseau

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved husband, dad, papa, brother and uncle.

Richard Gerald Mousseau; "Ehsh-pway-tum" (The Loudest Sounding Thunderbird), "Eshkun", "Leading Thunderbird".

Rick was born in Gladstone, Manitoba on May 22, 1953, to Harold and Lena (nee Beaulieu) Mousseau. He passed away peacefully with his wife and sons at his side on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at Foothills Medical Center in Calgary, Alberta.

Rick is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Dean; son, Curtis (Lana) and the light of his life, his Little Big Man, Austin; and son, Joe, all from Didsbury, Alberta. He is also survived by his brothers, Ron, Billy (Doris), Cecil (Judy) and Thomas; and sisters, Valerie, Wendy, Laura, and Mona (Barney), all from Manitoba. Rick also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, extended family, and all who knew him. 

He was predeceased by his parents, Harold and Lena; brothers, Garry and Arnold; sisters, Margaret, Mary and Donna; father-in-law, Gerard Marginet; sister-in-law, Catherine Mousseau; and brothers-in-law, Oliver Richard and Russell Racette.

A Funeral Service will be held at Zion Evangelical Missionary Church, AB-582, Didsbury, Alberta T0M 0W0 on Friday, October 5, 2018 at 1:00pm. I am so very sorry to hear of this, Rick was a great man and I will truly miss the laughs and talks we used to have. My deepest condolences to you Dean and to your family.

Dean, Curtis, Lana and Joe our thoughts are with you in your time of loss. Marty enjoyed teaching the kids. He also remembers Rick's time at the Mountain View County shop. Rick was always such a strong supporter of our community. We enjoyed our conversations at the curling bonspiels. May your memories comfort you.

Coming from his beloved family all the way from Ebb and Flow First Nation❤️ my dad's dad, is his brother. He lived so far away but he never forgot any of us. Wish we can all make it to Alberta for his funeral service. gone but never forgotten.
