Elizabeth Ellen Preuss
March 29th, 2018
It is with much love and great sadness that we say good bye to Mom
(Known to all as Mom)
Elizabeth Stiles Preuss (nee willoughby)
Elizabeth Willoughby was born in Royal Leamington Spa, England.
At six years of age she moved to the small county town of Warwick, attending school there and later working as a dental assistant for six years.
She joined Drama and musical theatre groups and met her first husband Patrick Stiles there.
In January 1954 they married and sailed for Canada on the Empress of France. Pat had a position in the Providence Hospital laboratory in Moose Jaw, Sask.
They lived in Moose Jaw for 6 years making wonderful friends. Then with two boys, Patric and Kevin, moved to Medicine Hat Alberta, where Jeremy and Suzanne were born and many more friends were made.
The family moved to Calgary Alberta in 1966, after having the children Elizabeth went back to school,
and graduated as a License Practical nurse, working close to 20 years on Post partum maternity at the Foothills hospital.
In 1989 the couple divorced and four years later Elizabeth married Han Preuss and retired from the hospital.
The couple had been very happily married for close to 24 years. Sadly, Elizabeth was predeceased by Hans on March 18, 2018.
Mom will be remembered by her children and step children and many grandchildren and great grand children.
We will be having a Celebration of Life in the summer of 2018

I only knew Elizabeth for a very short while, first as an Avon customer and then she joined our sorority, Beta Sigma Phi. She was loved by all the ladies in our chapter and such a gentle person. We wish we had know her longer. she was very generous and thoughtful and was willing to help whenever she could. She will be greatly missed by all the ladies in our Laureate Chi chapter. Farewell dear friend. Judy
I am so sorry to hear of Elizabeth's passing. We had many good times together when my husband and I lived in Calgary. I know how proud she was of her family and I know how much she will be missed. My heartfelt sympathy to all.
I am very sorry to hear of Elizabeth's and Hans's passing and so too would my father, Vic Randall. Unfortunately we lost him three weeks ago, before he had the chance to read the card you sent notifying him of their deaths. I remember my mother, June, and he talking fondly of their days in the St Nicholas Players amatuer dramatic group in their youth, and have seen photos of those times! I am also just reading my father's memoires and he mentions visiting Hans, Elizabeth and Pat during their visit to Calgary in 1997. I will raise a glass to them on 28th July (incidentally my parent's wedding anniversary) and hope they are all "up there" reliving the good times!
