Louis Ronald Ray Pride
December 12th, 2018
It’s with great sadness that we announce the passing of Louis Pride on December 12, 2018 at age 82 years. Louis was born on November 1, 1936 in Madden, Alberta to Joe and Edith Pride. Louis worked as a serviceman at H&R/Brassards/Nolans and then Mountain View Motors until his retirement. Our Dad enjoyed camping, fishing, bowling, woodworking, playing crib/cards, baseball and in his younger years hockey. But playing slo-pitch with the Clippers and being able to participate in seniors games was one of his greatest joys. However his Greatest Joy was spending time with his family. Louis will be remembered by most for his saying, you know my brother “Charley”. Louis will be deeply missed by his daughters Wendy (Kelvin) Thompson, Judy (Gord) Murphy, Shelly (Mike) Tweedy; grandchildren Lisa and Shaun Widenmaier, Joe and Crystal Thompson, Matt Murphy, Josh and Jess Murphy, Ashley Pride, Zach Tweedy and Nicole Tweedy; great-grandchildren Sarah and Hannah Widenmaier, Zaylex and Kayden Thompson, Wyatt and Paisely Murphy. Sister Lorena Stankievech and brother Darel (Donna) Pride, and numerous nieces and nephews. Louis was predeceased by his wife Margaret, son Darcy, parents Joe Pride, Edith Russell and step-father Dan Russell, brother Elmer and sisters Helen, Josephine, Gladys and Edith. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to S.T.A.R.S., Box 570 1441 Aviation Park NE, Calgary, AB, T2E 8M7.
