An outstanding brother, uncle, and friend we lost a hero when Leo passed away unexpectedly Tuesday evening.
Leo was committed to his passion of provincial politics and would share his opinions in letters to the editor, local talk radio, and even the bumper of his car always protecting the plight of the working man and the well-being of his beloved Alberta.
In his spare time he was a regular at the Airdire public library where he would expand his understanding the unique corners of our planet and beyond.
Early in life he gained a special appreciation for the wilderness, from his time hosting travelers at Rampart Creek Hostel to his more recent endeavors panning gold, he was most at peace when mountains were near.
Now it’s time to celebrate, friends
