Timothy Peter Vogt

March 23rd, 2018

Born August 25, 1957 in Flin Flon, Manitoba passed away peacefully in Strathmore, Alberta on March 23, 2018 after a lengthy illness.   He leaves to mourn, his wife Angela, his soulmate, his daughter Stephanie (Tyler), his mother, Phyllis Rasmussen, his 3 brothers, Bob (Laya), Gary (Marion) and Greg (Rose).

Tim spent most of his life being an avid musician, playing bass guitar and saxophone.   He was in a band in earlier years with Lone Star Cattle Company out of Penticton, BC.   More recently, he worked for City Wide Towing out of Calgary, working their rover route on Crowchild Trail and Southland Transportation driving school bus in Wheatland County.   He loved the children on his bus, who called him “Timbit”.

Over the years, he has worked with some amazing people across Canada and the U.S., lots of which were awesome musicians and singers and have remained friends still today.    Tim had the ability to make friends with almost anyone.   He will be sorely missed by all that knew him.

His family and some of his musician friends are going to try to arrange a celebration of Tim’s life, which will be held soon.   Details to follow.

Tim’s family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Kahlon for hus unwavering support. Also, many thanks to Nicole, Tim’ s home care nurse and the Palliative Care Team at the Strathmore Hospital, without their support our family could not have made it through such a difficult time.

Angela and Family: Sharon and I are so sorry to hear of Tim's passing. Our days of playing with him in the Beefeater Restaurant downtown are precious memories of what fun we had playing together in "Night Shift" He was an awesome sax player/bass player musician. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. RIP my old friend !

Although I never met Tim, I know his mother, Phyllis as we attend the same church. I did, however, see that he and I have a mutual friend on Facebook - Eddie Simon. Our prayer team has been praying for the family at this most difficult time. With deepest sympathy as you remember Tim.
