Irene Elnore Wright

One of earth’s angels moved to her heavenly home on Wednesday, October 10, 2018, at 91 years of age.
Irene was born in Airdrie, Alberta on Septemebr 29, 1927 to Edward and Martha Snyder of Kathryn, Alberta. Irene is survived by her daughter, Delores (Nick) Hudak; sons, Edward and Lee (Janice) Wright; as well as many loved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Wallace Wright; and son, Douglas Wright.
She was a woman who loved to garden, cook and bake. Irene always had time to visit over a cup of tea or coffee. She will be remembered for her smile and kindness. Irene was a wonderful woman to the very last day with us and will be much missed by all who knew her.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Worsley, Alberta on Saturday, October 27, 2018 with interment at a later date in Pine Grove Cemetery in Stewiacke, Nova Scotia. In lieu of flowers, doantions in Irene’s memory can be made to the Alberta Heart & Stroke Foundation Calgary, 119 14 St NW #200, Calgary, AB T2N 1Z6.

I remember for years mum would have long chats with Irene. They had good times over the years and I’m sorry to say I personally did not get to know her. Now mum and Irene are travelling together to a new place, where friends and family meet again. My thoughts are with you all.
