Hi Laura I'm so sorry for your loss, I always loved seeing Blaine at our office he always had such a great smile and I loved talking to him about the dogs. My thoughts are with you. Stephanie

Sorry about your loss, never met him but since he was married to you, he must have been special.

Deepest condolences Laura. I met Blaine in Communications and he was always friendly and helpful. That didn't change when he became a police officer. Take care of yourself now Laura.

Laura - my sincere condolences to you and your family. Blaine and I worked together in District 3, and he taught me much about kindness and compassion in dealing with offender, victim or witness. He also had this wonderful ease and composure in all things which balanced with a ready smile and sense of humour made it easy to be his friend. I am so sad that this gem of a man is no longer with you and us all.

Laura, I only just received word of Blaine’s passing; I’m still trying to assimilate it. I deeply sorry for your loss, and saddened we all have lost such a genuine, candid, caring friend. When you and Blaine first became an “item”, he was the recipient of a great deal of good natured ribbing by many at the airport, which he accepted with humor & grace. As it often happens, someone took the teasing a bit too far. it was the only time I ever saw Blaine angry. He leapt to your defense instantly, and it was made very clear; pick on him all you like, but not his wife; she was completely off limits. It struck me many times, how much he loved and respected you. You completed him as a man. While he had a rich, fulfilling life beforehand, having you as his wife and partner fulfilled him in a way that left a deep impression on all that knew him. He was so very proud of you, and his love for you a force of nature. He will be deeply missed.

Our condolences Laura. Blaine was a good, down to earth police officer, with an awesome smile and a great attitude. A pleasure to have known and worked with him. Sincerely Brad and Leanne Teigen.

Laura, I was so sad to hear of Blaine's passing. We worked together at the Calgary Airport. He was truly a valued member of the unit. Many people have commented on his infectious smile and laughter, how true. Blaine was not afraid to say it " like it was", I was not only concurred, I respected him for it. Blaine was always there for you. I can recall sitting in the garage as we had a few beer, while I watched him, as he serviced my bike. Motorcycles were his passion. I was so sad when I read his obituary. He will be in my memorable thoughts forever.

Laura, Like everyone who knew Blaine, he will be dearly missed. Please accept Wendy's and my sincerest condolences.

Dear Laura, Elmer Cerveny was my 1st cousin. I am Connie Cerveny's daughter . My dad was Julius' brother and Elmer's uncle. Although I have lost touch with the family over the years, I have recently began corresponding with Phyllis. I remember Blaine as a young lad and how much he resembles Elmer... Many regrets we never stayed in touch, but however, we all have things in life we always wish we could change. My condolences to you and the family.... Sincerely.. Verna ( Cerveny) Raycraft
