Douglas Michael Chelen passed away suddenly at the age of 67 years on Sunday, November 17, 2019. He was born and raised in Edmonton, AB, during the Wayne Gretzky glory days. He loved hockey and watching horse racing. As a young man, he moved to Calgary, AB, and became the proud father of Dustin Chelen. Though they were estranged at his death, Doug would follow his life and achievements online and never stopped loving his son.
Doug is lovingly remembered by his wife, Jacqui Levson. They were each other’s best friend and love. They had settled into a quiet life in Airdrie, AB, with their two furr babies, Miss Gabby & Mr. Tucker. He is also survived by his younger brother, Barry Chelen, from Edmonton. Doug worked for Auto Value where he was highly thought of and his manager, Dave Fulton, said he was a great guy and a joy to work with every day and everyone missed him.
