It is with great sadness that the family of Bill Irwin announces his passing at the Didsbury Health Centre Friday, January 11th, 2019 at the age of 76, after a long struggle with cancer.
Bill will be lovingly remembered by his wife Gail of 53 years and their three children; Kory (Valerie), Randy (Megan) and Christy (Grant) ZoBell and their 6 grandchildren; Cole and Hunter Irwin and Jack, Norma, Abigail and Zackery ZoBell. He is also survived by his brother Lyle (Marion), sister Joan (Ernest) Smith; sisters-in-law Jacqueline Gee and Joanne Baxter; brothers-in-law Lorne (Marg) Baxter and Tom Gee as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Bill was predeceased by his parents Jack and Doris Irwin and infant brother Kenneth.
The family extends a very special Thank You to Dr. Rob Collingridge for his kindness and excellent care of Bill throughout his illness. Thank you to the nursing staff at the Didsbury Health Centre as well.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Crossfield Community Centre, 900 Mountain Ave., on Friday, January 25, 2019 at 2:00 p.m.
If friends desire, donations in Bill’s memory (William) may be made to Crossfield United Church Box 233, Crossfield, Alberta T0M 0S0 and Alberta Cancer Foundation (Brain cancer) 1331 – 29th Street NW, Calgary, AB T2N 4N2 or a charity of choice.

I knew Bill was sick and dying, but when I heard the news it hit me in the stomach. May the Lord be with you to comfort all of you at this time -- especially Gail because there are going to be lonely days ahead.

I will always remember Bill's big smile and our many curling games over the years was great fun, remember the good times. He will be missed by all of us. A life well lived. rossco
