Emily James
October 1930 – January 2019
Emily left us peacefully on January 13, 2019, and has gone to be with her Saviour. We, her family mourn her passing, but will always lovingly remember her. Mavis, Paul, Barry, Dale and Mara grieve for her loss, as well as grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister Audrey (Ron), and many nieces and grand-nieces, nephews and grand-nephews. We will miss her dearly.
She has reunited with beloved family members who predeceased her, her mother and father, Jane and Fred James, and brother Bill.
She will always be remembered for her beautiful cheerful smile, her wicked sense of humour, her words of encouragement, and her willingness to help in whatever way she could. Through her work with Project Linus over the years, her knitted and crocheted items can be found in many homes across Canada; giving comfort to those in need at times of need.
Emily was a woman of faith to the core of her being. It was her belief that God would see her through whatever was in store for her – His will be done – and that she would be welcomed to the Kingdom of God when she was called home.
We will be forever thankful that He took her home before she felt any pain and we know that she is happy and at peace in the House of the Lord.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Grace Baptist Church, 1009 East Lake Blvd NE, in Airdrie on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 11:00 AM.
