We are so very sorry to hear of Mike's passing. For many years we enjoyed Mike's company at our house hanging out with Dana and Blaine. He had a great sense of humour and a sharp wit. It's been a while but we remember well the song writing jam sessions that often would happen downstairs in our basement full of laughter and good times. Our most sincere condolences at this difficult time.
We are praying for all of you, and we know that God is walking with you in your sorrow and grief. He will give you the strength you need. Blessings, Joanne and Marcus and family
My deepest sympathy to you Terry and Barry and family. I was so sorry to hear of your loss. It's a comfort to know he has no more struggles in this life only joy now in his final home. Love, Vi
Dear Barry, Terry, Kate, Jake and family - I offer you my sincere and deep sympathies to you all on the sad news of Mike's loss. I remember babysitting for Michael and Katie so many years ago. Mike was always so excited when we made popcorn or ordered pizza. He always had a grin and a dance and a rubber animal to show and share. I am so very sorry that light has been dimmed. May the knowledge that others are holding you all in prayer bring you comfort and strength in this time of loss. And may the memories you and others have of Mike bring a smile to your face in the midst of your heartbreak. My love to you all - Charlotte (Lee) Petti

I had the very special privilege of being Mike’s Grade 2 teacher at Haysboro back in 1994 and I shall never forget what a wonderful young lad he was: generous with his time, gentle with others, clever, good humoured, sporty and the just perfect little guy who made such a wonderful and lasting impression on me. I find it difficult to comprehend his passing and join Mike’s family and close ones in their sorrow, and will never forget my superstar Grade 2 Student, our amazing, smiling little Michael Kopperud RIP. Sincere and heartfelt thoughts and prayers, Keith Richmond

Sending much love as we grieve with you, remembering Mike. He was so special, funny and smart! We remember his wit and twinkle, as the cousins played out at the cabin as kids, and more recently at the family reunion. The Kopperud family is missing a very important piece and it is hard to imagine the pain you must feel. Please feel our love for you all. May God carry you.
I am so very sorry for your loss. Mike was a tremendous person with a huge heart.
So sorry to hear . Prayers for the family.
Although I did not know him or his family I pass on my sincere condolences and sympathy. My brother recently lost his battle with mental illness. Praying for your family and friends. In honour and memory of my brother I did a radio interview discussing mental health and the family. My sincere sympathy.
Our most sincere condolences to Barry and Terry and their entire family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
Mike was the most outgoing kid in our confirmation class at Church of the Cross. He was kind and bright with the biggest personality. I wish I had been able to attend his memorial service with my family. I was blessed to share my childhood with him. All my love to the Kopperud family.
