MILHAUSEN, James “Jim”
It’s with great sadness that we announce the passing of James (Jim) Wynne Milhausen. Jim passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at the Peter Lougheed Centre in Calgary, Alberta. For the past several years, Jim battled with dementia and in the end he was the “master of every situation” and passed on his terms.
Jim was born on March 6, 1945 in Sangudo, Alberta on the family homestead.
He is lovingly remembered by his daughters, Dana Milhausen, Dawn Milhausen (Martin Kines), and Carley Milhausen; grandchildren, Shaun Mann, Elizabeth Kines and Lauren Kines; sister, Dianna Pearson and nephew, Marcus Pearson; sister, Carol (Peter) Ganter and nieces, Kelly Roberts and Sharon Nickolson. He was predeceased by his parents, Aubrey and Martha Milhausen of Sangudo.
Jim spent the last five years in an amazing long-term care home, Bethany Harvest Hills. It is with much gratitude to all the staff and volunteers for their continuous love and support of his care over the years. In lieu of flowers, friends and family may make a donation in honour of Jim to Bethany Harvest Hills, 19 Harvest Gold Manor NE, Calgary T3K 4Y1. Cheques made out to “Bethany Care Foundation”.
