It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Wendy Diane Schroeder (née Parker) on Tuesday, July 2, 2019, at the age of 49 years. Wendy is lovingly remembered by the love of her life, her devoted husband, Jerry; her parents, Marge and Stan Parker; her siblings, Michele Green (Hal Larson), Susan, and Keith (Becca Ulrich). Also mourning are Jerry’s family; Mary, Edwin (Marie Wood), Bryan (Larissa), Julia (Jan Thijs), and many loved aunts, uncles, nephews, cousins, and amazing friends—particularly her soul sister, Niki Sokulski. Wendy’s “boys,” Dax, Tucker, and Cisco (her dogs) will miss her terribly.
Wendy was a radiant, beautiful woman with an extraordinary range of talents. A woman of profound environmental convictions, she urged us to be mindful of our impact on the planet. She had a rebel spirit and used some of her spark to fight for the dignity of all living beings. She was also a gifted artist who loved sharing knowledge from Wendy’s Garden of Eatin’, and because of her need to help people, created Wendy’s Apothecary.
Wendy was remarkably creative. She cultivated a life vibrant with passion and beauty for Jerry and herself on their acreage near Sundre. She leaves behind her a legacy of a life in full bloom cut far too short; but so many memories of great times with friends by the fire pit or by the river.
A Celebration of Wendy’s Life will be held at the Elks Lodge, 113 1 Ave SW, Sundre, Alberta, on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at 2:00 pm. Light refreshments will follow.

I will remember many laughs together when we were young kids at family gatherings & I was always in awe of Wendy's artistic talents and creativity. Love to all who knew Wendy - she will be missed .

Wendy had a depth and intelligence that is rare. Her concern for the human condition and care for the planet was exemplary. Thankfully evidence remains of her fierce spirit and endless talents, too many to mention. Taken away much too soon. Condolences to Jerry and the Parker family
Jerry, I am so sorry for your loss. For both of your families loss. This was terribly shocking news. My heart goes out to you. Our sincerest condolences to you and our thoughts and prayers are with you.
So very sorry for your loss. This was shocking news and I know it’s left a deep loss for everyone who knew her. She was a rare breed and I think of her a lot throughout my day, whenever I garden or pick up a tool, she pops into my head. A true inspiration to all she knew. RIP
